Why Overseas Producers Can't Undercut Atlas Salt, Even for Free

Cities are already running short on road salt, and winter hasn't even started. Some supply bids are going unanswered, prices have nearly doubled in parts of the market, and the backup plan is two weeks away by boat. Here's why Atlas Salt (TSXV: SALT | OTCQX: SALQF) can get salt to the people who need it most, faster and cheaper than anyone shipping from overseas:

• Three days by ship to Boston, not fourteen

• Shallow deposit that's cheaper and faster to mine

• Projected C$188M a year in free cash flow

• Export Development Canada interested in lending C$150M

• Early supply deal with top U.S. salt distributor

DCTA Picks Anchor Capital Partners to Negotiate the $40 Million Old Town Station Project

The mixed-use plan next to the A-train platform moves a step closer, and GoZone use in Lewisville keeps climbing.

The DCTA board voted to negotiate and sign a nonbinding memorandum of understanding with Anchor Capital Partners as master developer for the Old Town Lewisville transit-oriented development. The roughly $40 million project is a partnership among DCTA, the City of Lewisville and Denton County, first announced in July 2025.

The plan calls for offices, housing, retail, dining and public space within walking distance of the Old Town A-train station. It includes a new three-story DCTA headquarters with a waiting area and retail and restaurant space, plus a covered plaza and parking for buses, cars and rideshare vehicles. The next step is a Master Developer Agreement with Anchor Capital.

The board also heard that GoZone on-demand ridership in Lewisville has risen steadily and is now close to Denton's level. DCTA CEO Paul Cristina said Lewisville grew about 14 percent last year, and Highland Village's fourth-quarter demand was up about 15 percent from 2025.
