Tomorrow Is the Last Day of Lewisville's Summer Watering Rules
Wednesday, September 30, is the final day of Lewisville's Stage 1 outdoor watering restrictions, which have been in place since May 1.
Until then, automatic and manual sprinklers stay off between 10 AM and 6 PM. Lawn watering is also limited by address: even-numbered addresses on Tuesdays and Saturdays, odd-numbered addresses on Wednesdays and Sundays, and commercial, multifamily and HOA properties on Mondays and Thursdays. Hand-watering and soaker hoses are allowed at any hour.
The city's notice lists September 30 as the end date, and we did not find an announcement of an extension as of Tuesday. If your sprinkler schedule depends on it, check cityoflewisville.com before you reset your timer.

The Putnam County Spelling Bee Opens Thursday at Lewisville Playhouse
"The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" opens Thursday night at Lewisville Playhouse in Old Town. The musical comedy plays four performances before it closes with a Sunday matinee.
The show arrives as the Playhouse begins a 2026-27 season of five shows, two musicals and three plays, that runs from October through next summer. We did not see ticket prices listed, so call the box office at 972-221-7469 before you go.

The Lewisville High School Farmers beat Marcus 40-7 last Friday night, their fifth straight win in the Battle of the Axe.
Backup quarterback Aiden Evans led the way, rushing for 167 yards and three total touchdowns. The win came with an asterisk: Lewisville officially stands at 1-3 after vacating its first three wins because of an eligibility ruling involving its starting quarterback. The team can appeal, and a successful appeal could restore those wins.
The Farmers, 1-0 in district play, head to Frisco Wakeland this Friday, October 2, at 7 PM. Marcus hosts Hebron the same night.

Saturday in Old Town: The Last Farmers Market of the Season and a Candy-Colored Art Show
Saturday, October 3, is the last Old Town Lewisville Farmers Market of 2026, and it is also opening day for "Eye Candy!" at Lewisville Grand Theater.
The market keeps its usual Saturday morning hours at Wayne Ferguson Plaza. It took a week off on September 26 for Western Days, so this is the final chance to stock up until next season.
"Eye Candy!" is an exhibit of work by DFW artists built around bold color, nostalgia and playful, sweet-tooth imagery. It hangs at The Grand through November 7.
