🕰️ Trivia Day in Lewisville

Lewisville Lake began as two lakes. The City of Dallas finished Garza Dam on the Elm Fork of the Trinity River in 1927, and water storage began in 1928, creating Lake Dallas. Two decades later, the Army Corps of Engineers started a far larger dam, finished in 1955, and the two lakes were eventually combined into the Lewisville Lake we know today.
