The Farmers Head to Frisco Wakeland on Friday Night

Lewisville High School plays at Frisco Wakeland on Friday, October 2, at 7 PM, with the Farmers listed at 4-0 on the field.

The record comes with a catch. Lewisville vacated its first three wins over an eligibility ruling involving its starting quarterback, which leaves the team officially at 1-3 unless an appeal succeeds. Starting quarterback Laykon Brassfield is out for the rest of the season, and backup Aiden Evans has stepped in. Wakeland enters at 2-2, according to MaxPreps.

🕰️ Trivia Day in Lewisville

In January 1962, a crew of about 60 turned Lewisville into "Kilkenny, Texas" to film an episode of the TV series Route 66. Temporary signs went up on Main and Church streets, locals worked as extras, and the Huffines family home on Main Street played a hotel. The episode, "Love Is a Skinny Kid," aired April 6, 1962.

🌊 Lake Lewisville Check

Lewisville Lake sits at 82.2% full as of Wednesday, September 30, the most current reading available.

The water is at 518.10 feet, about 3.9 feet under the 522-foot conservation pool. That is down from 83.5% on September 24 and 89.3% a month ago, a steady slide that has continued day by day.

Boat ramps, swim areas and Party Cove still have water, though shallow launches get trickier as the level eases down. Check city and Army Corps notices for any ramp or swim area closures before you head out.
